With The enbl.it you get a lot of comprehensive and proven templates. Of course, we realize that these templates do not always fit the needs in your product development. That's why since the release of June 10, 2023, there is an option to exchange templates in the addon.

How does this work?In many templates there is an option to create a new page based on one of the provided templates. So if you configure your own template in the settings, the function is automatically switched to use the newly configured template instead of the supplied template. Which templates are involved? There are currently these four templates affected: /wiki/spaces/ENM/pages/3087958193, product goals, objectives and initiatives. All of them have a button which you can use to create a new page from template. |
How to change the templates?
The first thing you need to do is create a new template. You can do this as a global template under the Confluence settings. Or you can create a template for the current Space. Both are supported and will appear in the template selection list.

The settings are made in the respective space. Under App links (1) you will find the setting options. For simply select the desired template. Once you have selected a template for one of the four parent templates (2), the configuration is automatically saved and will be taken into account when creating the next page.
Please remark: This setting is only valid in the space you made the changes too. And the change is taken into account only for new pages created after the change.
For example, if you have created a new template for the Initiatives and selected it in the Initiative settings (the middle option on the right side), it will have no effect until you create a new parent page. In this case, it would be a page with the template for the Objective.

Confluence add-on provides you with templates that have proven successful in numerous implementations. However, we understand that these templates may not always meet your specific needs. This is why we provide a mechanism that allows you to replace individual templates with your own custom versions.
Step 1: Create your own template
The simplest way is to copy and modify the corresponding enbl.it template. Go to Space Settings → Look and Feel → Templates and click the edit icon (1) for the desired template. The template editor opens, and you can copy the template content using CTRL+A and CTRL+C (MacOS: CMD+A and CMD+C).
Exit the editor and create a new template (2). Paste the copied content there and make your customizations.

Step 2: Adjusting the enbl.it Configuration
Switch from templates to enbl.it Settings via Space Settings → App Links → enbl.it Settings. Select your newly created template for the corresponding page type. Changes are saved automatically, and your new template will be used the next time a page is created.
Additional important information:
Your existing pages will remain unchanged
Only newly created pages will use the new template
You can switch back to the default templates at any time
Different page types (like Customer Journeys, Initiatives) can use different custom templates

Use the macro Create page from template | enbl.it for page creation. Your template changes will only take effect when using our Create page from template | enbl.it macro.
