About the Product
This page serves as an entry point for your stakeholders, essentially functioning as your product development homepage. Alongside a product overview, it creates a link to corporate strategy, captures risks, and optionally allows for creating or simply linking to a financial plan.
This page isn't really a template, but is created once after activation (and will never be overwritten). Like all templates, it comes with help texts, so you can always identify which information you can add to which sections.
Begin with your product description (1) and enrich this information with the current situation and background knowledge (2).
In the next step, you can add a contact person and links to additional documents (3).
It's important to know how well the product aligns with company-wide strategy. Under (4), you have the opportunity to formulate this match. Simply use flowing text for this.
The next section (5) fills automatically once you start defining product goals. From here, you can also easily create a new product goal.
Next comes financial planning for the upcoming years. You can use the provided table (6), or integrate another source. If you don't need financial planning at this point, simply delete the entire section.
No product development comes without risks. Describe known risks with a name and description (7). You can evaluate the risks using the dimensions of impact and probability. For the evaluation, simply use the /Status
macro.
In the final section, you'll find a questions and answers block (8). Here you can document questions and their answers.
An example
